Winners!
Announcing the SCRG Steep Gullies Gauntlet!
Who: The Summit County Rescue Group (SCRG), Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, all adventure-minded people who want to participate and all prospective sponsors who want to donate raffle items to support us.
What: SCRG and A-Basin have partnered to create a new and exciting endurance event. Teams of two will ski all-day laps in the Steep Gullies. Participants are expected to enlist sponsors who will pledge a specific dollar amount per lap, with all proceeds going to SCRG’s Barn Raising for a Mountain Rescue HQ fundraising campaign. Prizes will go to the team completing the most laps, and the team raising the most money.
When: Friday, March 11th, from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm
Where: At The Legend, of course! Participants will ride the Pali chair to ski laps in the Steep Gullies. Spectators are welcome in the base area.
Why: Because we can. Because it’s cool. Because A-Basin and SCRG share a common love of the great outdoors, the mountains, and adventure. And because A-Basin has generously offered to help SCRG raise money for a badly-needed new headquarters building.
How: In addition to the main event there will be a raffle and a taco bar dinner at the A-Frame which are included in registration for the event participants and available for purchase to the public. To register for the event or for the taco bar dinner, visit A-Basin’s website at https://www.arapahoebasin.com/event/scrg-steep-gullies-gauntlet/.
