The Summit County Rescue Group is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization whose operations are funded primarily through individual donations and grants. Our services are free to the people who call for our assistance.
We incur enormous expenses while responding to missions. This includes the purchase and maintenance of team vehicles, facilities, communications equipment, medical and technical equipment, training expenses, and more. The team depends upon contributions from individuals, organizations and agencies interested in supporting its work. We are a 501(c)3 organization under IRS code, so your donation is tax deductible.
Every member of our mountain search and rescue team is an unpaid volunteer professional. We respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Our Board of Directors is also staffed by our volunteer members.
